Goals & Outcomes

  • Better collaborate and manage time to solve multiple challenges.
  • Have a lot of fun while being creative.
  • Improve effective information sharing and task allocation.
  • Encourage conversation and interaction across the group.

Agenda & Activities

Atlanta Challenge provides the narrator to lead the murder mystery, props for participant-characters, clue and trivia packets, and other program materials. We coach the characters on their duties before the program starts. The characters do not know the solution, so they can be fully engaged participants. For the most fun and best fit to the story line, the “victim” is the highest level person in the group. Table-teams can be self-selecting, assigned in advance, or randomized upon arrival.

Character Prep (10 minutes) Atlanta Challenge provides the facilitator/narrator, props for participant characters, clue packets, trivia challenges, and other program materials. Before the event begins, volunteer characters from your group receive a quick orientation on their roles and responsibilities. There is nothing to memorize, making participation easy, relaxed, and fun.

Introduction (5 minutes) Each table-team receives an introduction to the mystery, reviews the rules of the competition, and begins working through their first clues and team challenges.

The Mystery Unfolds (60 minutes) The primary characters are introduced and the stage is set for the mystery. Shortly after the meal begins, the guests witness the murder, but there may be more surprises to come. Between meal courses, the mystery continues to unfold through dramatic scenes, clue discoveries, trivia challenges, and suspicious interactions between characters. Teams work together to gather information, compare theories, and determine who is responsible before time runs out.

Team Challenge Bonus Round (10 minutes) Teams compete in fun bonus challenges including company jingles and team trivia that create even more laughs, interaction, and opportunities to earn extra points before the final accusations.

Dramatic Conclusion (5 minutes) Each team presents their final accusation and theory of the crime while the facilitator dramatically reveals what really happened. The room typically erupts with laughter, celebration, and playful fingerpointing as the mystery comes to its conclusion.

Wrap-up (5 minutes) The facilitator announces the winning team based on mystery points, team challenge performance, and final accusations. The event concludes with recognition of the volunteer characters, group photos, and a final round of applause for the cast and participants.
