Save The Day

A creative way for teams to recognize and celebrate each others’ strengths, and work together to solve meaningful challenges.

Overview

Save The Day turns ordinary team strengths into over-the-top superhero action. Participants identify the traits they naturally bring to the group, transform those strengths into heroic alter-egos, and team up to defeat real challenges your organization faces. It is playful on purpose, but the message is very real: every team has hidden powers, and those powers work best when people know how to recognize, appreciate, and combine them. We bring the capes, masks, and superhero supplies. Your team brings the courage, creativity, and commitment to save the day.

Agenda & Activities

Welcome & Warm-Ups (5-10 minutes) Our Atlanta Challenge staff welcome your group, introduce the mission, and
get everyone ready to jump in. We use quick, playful warmups to loosen up the room and set the tone for a creative,
high-energy experience.

Discover Your Powers (35-50 minutes) Participants take part in a fun strengths-based activity to identify the traits they naturally bring to the team. Along the way, they see how different people contribute in different ways, and why the best teams know how to recognize and combine those gifts.

Team Up (5-10 minutes) A quick activity randomly forms smaller superhero squads. Teams create a name, rally cry, or quick team identity before receiving their heroic supplies.

Hero Challenge (45-60 minutes) Each participant creates a superhero alter-ego based on one of their real-life traits or abilities. Then teams combine their characters into one short scene where they face a real challenge their group might encounter and save the day together.

The Show (10-30 minutes) Teams introduce their heroes, reveal their powers, and perform their short scene for the group. Expect capes, theme songs, bold declarations, questionable acting choices, and plenty of laughter.

Hero Awards (10-15 minutes) Teams vote for fun awards such as “Most Creative,” “Best Use of Materials,” “Most Inspiring,” and other categories that celebrate imagination, teamwork, and heroic effort.

Real-World Tie-In (5-15 minutes) The group connects the superhero fun back to real work, school, or community challenges. Participants identify how the traits they highlighted can help the team solve problems, support each other, and take action.

Review & Wrap-Up (10-15 minutes) Participants share key observations about how their team worked together and what they want to carry forward. We close with a quick reflection activity and a team photo.
